A simple electric sprayer for little money

Inexpensive spray gun Patriot SG 450 works on the principle of HVLP. That is, it sprays paints and varnishes not so much due to the pressure of the air flow, but due to the large volume of air. The HVLP system allows you to paint quickly while saving paint material (because less paint "bounces" off the surface).

Features and specifics

The quality of mixing the paintwork material with air is very mediocre, it is difficult to achieve a thin and uniform layer. In the finished mixture there are large drops that can form streaks. Therefore, this airbrush should not be used for fine painting of premises. It is good in another way: a large flow of air with low pressure allows you to form a dense flow of the mixture. A very thick "fog" is formed with a huge number of particles of different sizes, which penetrates into all cracks, pores and holes. Therefore, the Patriot SG 450 is useful for tasks such as spraying primers or wood impregnations.

It is possible to adjust the size and shape of the torch, the air pressure and the volume of the supplied mixture. But the large size of the nozzle (2.5 mm) limits the possibilities of settings, and smaller replaceable nozzles that would fit this model of the spray gun are simply not available.

Tool for quick and rough work

The Patriot SG 450 sprayer is excellent for rough and rough work, especially since it can even work with substances that have a high viscosity (up to 100 DIN). It is cheap (like other types of Patriot tool) and has decent reliability by the standards of the "low-cost" price segment. Such spray guns are perfect for jobs like quick painting garages and sheds, whitewashing ceilings with lime, or impregnating parts of wooden structures. But for a clean and neat painting, it is better to choose something else.
