Long-range binoculars with variable magnification from the eminent Japanese brand Olympus allow you to see objects of interest up to 30x.

Optical design

The optical scheme of the binoculars has 9 elements in 6 groups, which are enclosed in a compact and stylish plastic case with rubberized inserts for a more confident grip. The design of the binoculars uses lenses with a special multi-layer coating that prevents the penetration of ultraviolet radiation. This makes it possible to use an optical device on a bright sunny day without fear of harming your eyes. In poor lighting conditions, you should not count on excellent detailing — the relative brightness parameter of binoculars does not shine with outstanding results.

line of sight

The device is able to focus on the object under consideration from a distance of 5 m. The maximum value of the field of view at a distance of 1 km ranges from 56 to 33 m (depending on the selected magnification factor). It should also be taken into account that due to the presence of moving elements in the optical scheme, the field of view of the device is somewhat reduced in comparison with binoculars with a fixed zoom.

Picture

At the lowest magnification to the picture in the eyepieces of the binoculars, absolutely no questions arise. But at a 25-30-fold approximation, the image begins to darken, which is due to the low aperture ratio of the optics. In addition, trembling appears and in order to stabilize the picture, you have to look for a fulcrum, because. There is no tripod socket in the design of the binoculars.

Advantages

The number of advantages outweighs the bowl with an insignificant number of disadvantages in its favor. Real owners of binoculars praise it for its high zoom ratio, the ability to observe dynamic and static scenes with glasses, and also for its high quality workmanship.
