Reliable and Convenient Cultivator for Intensive Work
The Oleo-Mac MH 198 RKS cultivator belongs to the Tough Tech series, which emphasizes its intent for heavy, prolonged, and intensive work. It is equipped with a 4-stroke Emak K 800 HC gasoline engine with a power of 4000 W (5.4 HP) and a displacement of 182 cm³. This engine is characterized by high reliability, efficiency, and resistance to loads during extended use. The chain gearbox provides two forward gears and one reverse: the first ensures a rotation speed of 71 RPM, the second — 97 RPM, and reverse — 53 RPM. For user convenience, the handle can be turned to the side to avoid walking on freshly tilled soil. The height and angle of the handle are adjustable without tools.
Pros and Cons of Design and Equipment
The milling unit consists of 6 working cutters and 2 protective discs, ensuring neat row spacing without damaging plants. The cultivation depth reaches 18 cm, and the working width can range from 35 to 85 cm by removing or adding individual elements of the unit. A support beam for depth adjustment is attached to the frame at the rear, while a protective bumper in the form of a crossbar and a small wheel for transport are installed at the front. The weight of the cultivator is 63 kg (excluding fuel and oil), and although the package does not include full-size transportation wheels, they can be purchased separately. Other accessories are also available for sale: pneumatic and metal wheels with soil grips, various plows, hillers, and tools for harvesting root crops.
Made in Europe
One significant advantage of the Oleo-Mac MH 198 RKS is its origin: both the cultivator and the Emak engine are made in Italy. European assembly is a notable advantage for those who seek a reliable and durable tool for handling medium and large plots.
