Perhaps, aside from the convenience of holding the device in your hand, which has been standard since the first phones by Philips or Nokia, there might be something interesting and pleasant, but the main drawback of Chinese manufacturing is the lack of an instruction manual. Do I have to spend time and nerves figuring out how to use it? For an 83-year-old grandfather, this is not an easy task, dealing with the question: well, why on earth did you buy it? It feels like it's specifically to ensure you have nothing else to do... The phone doesn't come with a user manual, which is common for those made in China (though being Hong Kong, it seems like it should be different from communist China). So, it's difficult to start using the device. The only thing that works right away is what's visible when you press the metal button. Other than that, you have to think and tap around until you eventually figure out what you're doing. It's just a shame for such services.
