Cons

I can recommend for a quiet measured ride on a good road
19 August 2020
Good day! I will briefly describe my impressions of using Nokian Hakka Black 2 SUV tyres. The tyres have been on the move for more than 8 thousand km, during this time I did not reveal any significant shortcomings. On a dry road, definitely 5 points! Braking is excellent, good hydroplaning resistance. For 8 thousand there is no wear at all, as if it had just been installed, we will look further ... Of the minuses, I can note a little noise on poor road surfaces. It is on the bad, on the good tyres are quite quiet.
Value for money is good in my opinion.

Only a few direct rivals can compete with the Finnish company Nokian in the production of tyres for difficult climatic conditions — there are not so many equals in this field. A striking example of a good tyre, sharpened for changeable weather conditions of the warm season and rainy days of the off-season, is the second generation of the bestseller Nokian Hakka Black.

Hydroevacuation

The tyre opens up to its fullest in harsh northern summers and in mountainous terrain, which is characterized by sudden changes in weather and heavy precipitation in the form of rain. The Hydro Canyon Grooves in the tread blocks contribute to the acceleration of the outflow of water from the contact patch of the tyre with the road. They were tasked with redirecting water flows into the main channels, penetrating the asymmetric tread pattern along its entire length.

Confident Behavior

The key bet in the model is made on the active Dynamic Grip clutch, as a result of which constant contact with the dry roadway is maintained (including when cornering) and stable directional stability on the road during rain. Due to the large number of engagement edges, the tyre is notable for a clear and quick response to steering commands, as well as stability at high speeds.

Display scale

Combinations of various components are used in the composition of the rubber compound of the tyre: a hard and heat-resistant bottom layer contributes to low rolling resistance (as a result, fuel consumption is optimized), a middle layer with silica inclusion improves the adaptability of the tyre to various types of road surface, and an elastic and high-strength top layer resists cuts and pierce. In addition, the Nokian Hakka Black 2 has a detailed indication of the remaining tread height (numbers from 3 to 8 mm and a droplet symbol, which, when erased, worsens the tyre's behavior on wet roads). The scale will tell you about the need to replace the rubber with a new one, which will need to be done every 3-4 seasons (depending on the driving style and the distance covered during this time period).
