A video recorder in the image and likeness of a compact camera with a small protruding lens in the front of the case. In the optics of the model, 6-layer glass lenses are used, which provide high-definition video sequence. The picture from the registrar clearly shows the license plates of passing and oncoming cars, provided there is sufficiently good external illumination. At night, the NEXTBASE 222G shoots a little worse, but in general, the model is best suited for understanding the essence of what is happening on the road.

Shooting on the registrar is carried out in the maximum resolution of Full HD - 1920x1080 pixels at 30 fps. The lens of the device looks at the road with a viewing angle of about 140 °. On the back of the case, the model is equipped with a 2.5-inch IPS screen (732x240 pixels). Inside the dashcam there is a microphone, speaker and G-sensor that reacts to unusual accelerations, decelerations and impacts, protecting the video of these moments from being overwritten. The power supply to the block with the camera is established from the cigarette lighter socket through the magnetic connector of the mount with through power supply. Also "under the hood" the model has a backup battery with a capacity of 280 mAh.
