Balanced gaming laptops from the mid-range MSI Katana lineup. The models are based on a 10-core 16-thread Intel Core i7-13620H processor from the Raptor Lake generation, equipped with discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 graphics and 16 GB of DDR5-5200 RAM. For internal data storage, an SSD M.2 NVMe solid-state drive with a capacity ranging from 1 to 4 TB is used (depending on the chosen configuration).
The MSI Katana 17 B13VFK laptops handle modern AAA gaming projects at medium-high graphics settings with stable fps up to 60 fps. However, the screen of the family models is somewhat weak — the 17.3-inch diagonal IPS panels have low peak brightness and mediocre color reproduction. A plus for the display is the high refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The island-style keyboard in the lineup's laptops features a four-zone RGB backlighting system, with transparent WASD keys. The models have a sufficient number of physical interfaces, provide for wireless communications with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v 5.3, and include a simple HD webcam. Autonomous operation is supported by a fairly standard 54 Wh battery — under gaming loads, its charge lasts for 1.5 to 2 hours, no more.
