Monitor Audio speaker systems, like everything British related to the world of music, are a hallmark of exemplary quality and unique style. The MASS 5.1 Gen 2 model is an excellent gift for a true connoisseur of great sound, and of course, not cheap. You will have to fork out for $ 1000, but you definitely will not regret it.

Style in every inch

Durable damped polymer satellites are square in shape with rounded corners. All lines are smooth, and the softness of the design is emphasized by grills made of fabric resembling matting. The subwoofer is designed in the general style, but made of MDF. The manufacturer offers three colours to choose from: black, white and grey. The total weight of the system is almost 16 kg, of which 10 kg per subwoofer and 1.1 kg per satellite.

With a convenient bracket system, the speakers can be wall-mounted or the stylish floor stands can be purchased separately with an internal (pre-wired) cable management system.

The system is perfect for organizing home theaters in a small living room: 5 two-way speakers and a subwoofer operate in the frequency range of 35 – 34,000 Hz and produce a clear balanced sound at a total power of 270 watts. The subwoofer is equipped with a DSP processor for precise crossover characteristics and a full range of settings, phase, level, crossover, LFE input and even three presets: impact, cinema and music.

The updated MASS 5.1 turned out to be smaller and not as powerful as its predecessor, which has already been discontinued, but has clearly gained in sound quality and appearance. An excellent choice for a lover of good British sound and modern interiors.
