I spent a long time choosing, read reviews and took this model, as it has a good price/quality ratio. I rarely sew, I took it instead of an old seagull, so I didn’t quite understand what to pay attention to. I tested it at home. From the conclusions: in some incredible way, the upper thread stretched and shot into the mechanism from above, got stuck there somewhere - I had to unwind the upper left part of the case and get it out; I tried to automatically thread the thread - it didn’t work, we figured it out later, you need to make sure that everything goes exactly where it is needed and help the machine - push the mechanism with your finger))) I tried to sew knitwear with a regular needle - it skips stitches, replaced the needle with a special one - the problem was solved; I tried to sew jeans folded several times (in the area of the belt straps), sewed a tight zigzag with a denim needle - sometimes it was sewn normally, sometimes instead of a zigzag I made an even stitch and skipped stitches.. The machine is very easy to set up, the instructions are very accessible - everything is clear. But in terms of the quality of the stitching, I have questions.. Since I don’t have good experience in sewing, I chalked it up to my own lack of professionalism. The machine does not tolerate extreme variety, but perhaps you will be able to overcome it with the correct selection of needles, threads and settings. In the end, I returned this one and decided to take the more expensive option (horizontal shuttle) - in terms of ease of settings, number of lines, quality of instructions and lighting, the new machine is inferior, but sews everything without showing off. Bought the Minerva 363d machine two years ago, the internal parts are plastic, worn out after 1.5 years! Doesn't sew a straight stitch, skips stitches, loops the thread, breaks the upper thread, became very loud for six months!
