Model overview based on user reviews
The Milly Mally Dragon balance bike is a lightweight and affordable option for young children aged 2 to 4 years. Its light weight of 3 kg makes it easy for both children and parents to handle, especially for those living in multi-story buildings. The bike features 10-inch foam rubber wheels that can easily navigate small obstacles and wet surfaces, thanks to the included fenders. While some users have reported issues with the handbrake and plastic components, others have found the bike to be durable and effective in helping children develop balance and coordination. Despite some quality concerns, many parents appreciate the bike's adjustable seat and handlebar heights, which allow it to grow with the child. Overall, the Milly Mally Dragon offers a solid introduction to cycling, providing children with a sense of independence and enjoyment.
Pros
Cons
price The quality is terrible. just bought Milly Mally Dragon i recommend it don't buy |
In the spring we were two years and eight months old. It seems to be too early to sit on a separate bike, but the baby bike (the one with the parent handle) has already become small and uncomfortable. A friend came up with the idea of a balance bike and we decided to give it a try. I went right away, at first uncertainly often resting on my legs and carefully turning the steering wheel, but after a week it was impossible to keep up with him. He rides, as they say, until he loses his pulse)) Light weight, which is pleasant for both the child and the parent. It’s easier for my son to accelerate - pushing three kilograms is not at all the same as trying to pedal on a twelve-kilogram baby wheelchair. My wife and I are also easier, we live in a five-story building on the fifth floor and we also have to carry a bicycle or balance bike up and down. Has a decent size (10 inches) foam rubber wheels that easily overcome small obstacles, pebbles, etc. It is important that the wheels are covered with normal shields, so you can ride even on wet asphalt. Overall, the balance bike is solidly built and gives the impression of being durable. The height of the steering wheel and the height of the seat are adjustable, so that you can always adjust the height of the child. But the most important plus of this balance bike is the emotions of the son. We went on our own on the third or fourth day, but by the end of the first week it was a difficult task to pull us off it. To say that he enjoys riding is just an understatement. Plastic wheel guards don't stick very well. But so far they have not fallen off and it can hardly be considered a serious problem. |
Bought in 2013, drove for 3 years, almost every day, on long distances. And then they easily switched to an ordinary bicycle (without additional wheels). Easy, inexpensive. More or less quality details. Used intensively for 3 years. During this time, the handles were beaten, scratched a little, but in general it still drives. And most importantly, the child develops a sense of balance and equilibrium. Handbrake. Although the child practically did not use it, since it was easier to stop with the help of his feet. |

Additional features kids' bike Milly Mally Dragon:
- Designed for children weighing up to 20 kg
- Please specify the presence of a hand brake at the time of purchase.

- The brake cable is routed in such a way that when turning the handlebars to the left by 30 degrees, it tightens and prevents the handlebars from turning further. Moreover, when pressing the brake, it doesn't always return to its original position. It feels like it's from a different model. It was attached somehow but it's impossible to use.
- The wheels are molded plastic. The rear wheel is bent!!! It wobbles up to 8mm!!! (impossible to fix). Because of this, using the hand brake is essentially not possible.
- The steering sleeve consists of two plastic rings through which the steering axle passes. There is a gap of about 0.5 mm between the handlebar in these rings, causing the handlebar to OBVIOUSLY wobble. And this is on a balance bike that hasn't been ridden yet. I assume after a month of use the plastic rings will wear down a bit and disaster will strike. Video: http://www.ex.ua/632618417969
