Compact and Practical
The summer 2020 debut from the brand MIE — a handheld garment steamer featuring a lightweight design (800 grams) and increased convenience in storage and/or transportation. This is largely due to its compact size and a foldable handle that folds against the body: a similar mechanism is found in many travel hairdryers.
The transparent water tank is located on top of the body. It also enhances the compactness of the MIE Unico, as it holds only 100 ml. This capacity is enough for steaming several items of clothing, as it provides up to 10 minutes of continuous operation, plus it supports on-the-go refilling.
Fast Heating Up
Inside the device is a 1000W heating element, which allows for steam output within just 25 seconds after plugging in. The intensity of steam generation reaches 20 g/min, making the model quite effective at removing wrinkles on delicate fabrics, like wool or silk, capable of quickly creating creases on trousers, smoothing cuffs and collars on blouses and shirts.
Steaming with MIE Unico can be done both in vertical and horizontal positions. In the latter case, it is recommended to combine the steam treatment with classic ironing by applying pressure on the fabric with the compact aluminum soleplate. Fortunately, there should be no water marks on garments, as there is an anti-drip system.
Extended Package
The steamer comes with a measuring cup for filling the tank, a heat-resistant glove to prevent burns, as well as a brush attachment. It helps raise the nap on fur or woolen items and clean off dust. Both the model and all accessories are suggested to be stored in the included fabric pouch.
