Cheaper than a convector

If you intend to heat a small room, spending a minimum of money on it, then the fan heater of the well-known manufacturer of climate technology Midea MFH2901 is the best fit for this purpose. With comparable power and heating area, it will cost half as much as the Midea MCH3050 electric convector, and in terms of its modest overall dimensions (20x20.5x30.5 cm), the device clearly outperforms its “colleague” without a fan (53x78x28 cm). On the white plastic of the cylindrical body, the exhaust grille stands out in contrast, providing the movement of a warm air flow around the entire circumference. Thus, effective airflow of the room is carried out by 360 ° without mechanical rotation of the housing. The manufacturer also offers a modification Midea MFH2902, made entirely in black.

Spiral heater

The rated power of the spiral heating element is 1.8 kW, sufficient to quickly reach a comfortable temperature in a room with a maximum area of 18 m2. And when the room is not so cold, you can set the reduced power mode. It should be noted that, despite the high heating rate, the use of an open coil instead of a ceramic element will contribute to the accumulation of dust on it, the combustion of which is accompanied by an unpleasant odour. The built-in thermostat allows you to smoothly adjust the heating, and the power indicator light will remind you that the device is working. In hot weather, the device will not stand idle either: it can be used as a regular fan without turning on the heating element. Thanks to overheating protection and a tip-over auto-off sensor, the heater is safe to use. At the bottom of the case there is a compartment for winding and storing the power cord.
