It's worth buying I have a Zaporozhets 968 M, almost new, but the year of manufacture is 1981. I drove on imported tires, used them for 12 years, and decided to switch to other imported ones. Sold the bull. Bought Michelin Energy XM2. Couldn't recognize the car. It flies like a swallow. Due to poor brakes, the tires practically don't wear out, you can't hear the wheel noise, but the engine makes a loud clatter. It goes through deep puddles at high speeds (50-60 km/h) easily, no aquaplaning, but water gets into the cabin through the trunk and door gaps. It handles turns easily, but I have to brake a bit so the doors don't open accidentally. In the mud, it confidently conquers any hill because the rear-mounted engine helps, and sometimes my buddy—a former paratrooper—does too. The fuel consumption seems to have decreased; a full tank lasts for a month and a half now, it used to last for a month (trips to the in-laws in the neighboring village and to the district center store once a week), but I can't say for sure—the speedometer doesn't work. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tires. I think they'll last 10-15 years. Didn't notice use Michelin Energy XM2 month or more |
Rubber for calm, measured driving in the city. Be careful with speeds outside the city. Overall impression is good. The rubber is soft, after Taiger, you can turn the steering wheel with one finger, the braking is good, haven't tested it in extreme conditions yet, driving around the city is a pleasure. Fuel consumption did not increase compared to the previous rubber. At speeds over 90, it starts to make noise, and driving with the windows down is uncomfortable. I don't recommend racing on hot asphalt in the heat; the car drifts. Alignment is fine, so the speed should not exceed 100. |
i took a long time choosing and finally decided, it handles the road well, in the shops they all assured me it's quiet, but it turns out to be quiet up to 80 km, beyond that it's like riding a train. It performed well on wet asphalt, but on descents it played a little, the front wheels wear the tread normally - probably due to my driving style. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tires, they can be rated a solid 4 in their class. soft, handles potholes and seams excellently. noisy, purely for city driving up to 80 km |
Summer "shoes" Michelin Energy XM2 — a continuation of the line of ecological tyres from the French company Michelin. Rubber designed with an eye on the operation on the roads is not the best quality. And that's why.
off-road panacea
Potholes, pits, "washboard" and other troubles on the roads are familiar to east european motorists firsthand. The panacea for them is the brainchild of Michelin with the name Energy XM2. The tyre is elastic in nature and reliably protected from unwanted deformations on bumpy roads. Its frame is made using IronFlex technology from carbon and nylon threads. In a collision with an obstacle, such a cord dissipates the impact force along the entire length of the sidewall, increasing tensile strength and preventing hernias.
The devil is in the details
In appearance, the asymmetric tyre tread seems quite ordinary. But the devil, as you know, is in the details. The fact is that the functional blocks of the tread of the model are slashed with arc-shaped lamellas, which are cut in steps. As a result, the tread is less susceptible to deformation under high-speed loads and active manoeuvring. Also, a similar structure improves tyre mileage.
Excellent adaptation
Everything is good with the model and with resistance to hydroplaning, and with softness. However, according to the results of the tests of the publication "Behind the wheel" (in 2016), it is still inferior in handling on wet roads to venerable colleagues in the tyre shop. Tests are tests, and in real life situations, the ability to “digest” bad roads will come in handy, especially if there are no movements from Avtodor in your region of residence.
