Model overview based on user reviews
The Metabo KGS 216 M 619260000 is a stationary miter saw powered by an electric source, offering a robust motor with 1500 W power and a no-load blade speed of 5000 rpm. It features a 216 mm blade size and a cutting depth of 65 mm, making it suitable for cutting wood and various plastics. Users appreciate the laser marker and LED light for enhanced precision and visibility. The saw is praised for its stability and portability, weighing 13.5 kg, and its ease of setup with precise angle fastening. However, some users noted issues with the fragile cord and the failure of light and laser buttons. Additionally, the tilt to the right is limited to two degrees, which can be inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, the saw is considered a reliable choice for professional-grade work, especially when paired with a shop vac for efficient dust removal. Overall, the Metabo KGS 216 M is regarded as a high-quality tool from a reputable brand, ideal for serious woodworking tasks.

Buying professional-grade tools should be done only from reputable and well-known companies. I'm not arguing, there are some lucky and relatively inexpensive Chinese-made copies under other brands. However, if you're using the tool for serious work, you definitely don't need such a gamble. That's why, when choosing a miter saw, I was only looking at models from serious brands. Metabo in the world of professional tools is a top name, the Germans really know their stuff when it comes to quality tools, which I confirmed once more with this saw. An excellent miter saw with almost no drawbacks. I'd say it's the best machine of its class I've ever tried. Weighing over 13 kg, it's quite stable for work but still portable enough for one person to carry. Moreover, the saw head locks easily. Setting it up is simple and highly accurate, with angles fastening precisely. The cutting process is convenient, and most of the debris flies into the bag and stays there, though I often use a Karcher shop vac instead. With it, dust and debris removal is even more thorough, making the work easier. I cut all types of wood and various plastics. The included blades work neatly and quickly. And let's not forget to mention the laser cutting line marker, a fantastic feature that's very visual. Tilt to the right side is only possible by two degrees. I wouldn't say it's needed that often, but when it was necessary, it caused serious inconveniences. |
