+ great TV box if you only need certified AndroidTV; + 4K content; + all multimedia buttons work (some complaints before the latest updates, as I understood); + Netflix and Amazon Prime apps are available, but I haven’t tried watching anything on them. ~ read that there might be a problem with installing some apps not available in the Play Store, but haven't encountered it yet; - would like a remote with quieter/softer buttons; - Wi-Fi from another room didn't always have a good signal (apparently a known issue with the model, but we ended up connecting via Ethernet since it was nearby). |
Gorgeous console for its price. People who write negative reviews just haven't figured it out (like how to pair the remote with the console or how to install the browser). The console has excellent specifications, it runs games without any lag, and you can watch any movies in any format. It's been working for me for 2 years and I'm happy (check out the 4pda thread on this model). Good central processor and graphics core. A large amount of RAM allows you to use the device without "lagging". A bright LED on the front panel had to be colored with a marker to make it dimmer. There is voice control, but the remote control does not hear the voice, no matter how hard it tries to write, repeat the request, re-tried everything until you understand voice search use Mecool KM9 Pro Deluxe less than month |

I had been considering a newer model - the KM1 Classic - for around the same price, but 2GB versus 4GB seemed more reliable than the release year. Setting it up and finding the necessary apps takes a bit of time if you've never dealt with Android TV (as was my case), but watching some videos and specialized websites can help you get it all sorted in an evening. You'll likely need a flash drive and a computer.
Also, note that in some reviews, tech bloggers (like technozon) move a mouse across the screen - they're using an additional remote with a sensor or accelerometer.
Now I realize that for non-4K content, I could have chosen something simpler, but it was important to have voice control.
