British dude
Speaker dimensions 195x350x190mm outwardly resembles a guitar combo amplifier. The cabinet is draped in beige or black leather, the speakers are covered with a fabric grille with an embroidered company logo. The control module with copper handles and indicator lights is traditionally located on top and slightly recessed into the cover. Everything is beautiful, convenient and intuitive.
Great sound from any device
Despite its compactness, the system has a good power reserve — 15 watts per channel and 45 watts per woofer. The device operates in the range of 50 – 20000 Hz, and the design of the bass reflex case gives elasticity and clarity to not too outstanding basses. In general, the sound has a characteristic vintage with a predominance of mids. And the high and low frequency controls help to achieve “your” sound.
The mini-system can be connected to almost any audio source: Apple devices, computer, smartphone, smart TV — using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast technologies, as well as AirPlay, Google Play, Spotify, and Internet radio with customization up to 7 radio stations. In addition, the speaker can be connected by wire: via RCA or mini-Jack 3.5 mm.
Marshall Multiroom
Stanmore is categorized as a Multi-Room enabled device, so with the Marshall Multi-room mobile app, you can connect it to a single home media network of similar devices. For a large apartment or house, this is the perfect solution to control audio devices in any room and even outdoors. However it will be problematic to take Stanmore out into the yard while you are preparing a barbecue, it is powered only from the mains. There is no separate remote control here either, it is replaced by a smartphone.
Marshall Stanmore will definitely appeal not only to fans of the British brand, but also to simply connoisseurs of premium audio equipment. The model looks stylish, sounds good and loud, and at the same time it is inexpensive — about $500. More is not needed.
