Japanese station wagon
The Makita HR2811FT three-mode rotary hammer is a versatile tool for construction and renovation. With it, you can drill holes in concrete, brick and stone walls, drill sockets with a diameter of up to 80 mm, and also make strobes, remove plaster and cement layers or demolish partitions. Although this model is not a leader either in terms of power (800 W) or in terms of impact force (2.9 J), it easily handles with tasks similar to those listed above, while providing good performance. The rotary hammer can also be used as a mixer drill for mixing grout or tile adhesive.
Compact, convenient and even with a flashlight
The rotary hammer is perfectly adapted for work in close and narrow rooms. Due to the vertical arrangement of the engine, it has compact dimensions (345 mm in length) and convenient weight distribution. For drilling and chasing in the dark, there is an LED backlight.
The manufacturer took good care of the users by equipping the tool with useful components and systems. Between the gearbox and the motor there is a torque limiter (safety clutch), which prevents jerks when the drill is jammed. A good anti-vibration system reduces shock loads to the hands and wrists to a minimum, neutralizing the harmful effects of vibrations.
The smart choice for the installer
The Makita HR2811FT is a great rotary hammer for the generalist builder (like a fitter, electrical installer, or air conditioner installer). The tool comes with two chucks at once: a regular quick-clamping chuck (for drills with cylindrical shanks) and an “impact” chuck for SDS + equipment. The quick change cartridge mechanism allows you to switch from one type of work to another almost instantly.
