Makita DHR280Z
Videos 2Photos 5 | Outdated Product Professional electric rotary hammer with compact design (vertical motor), high-tech BLDC brushless DC motor and powered by two proprietary 18V Li-ion batteries. Equipped with a practical SDS Plus standard chuck that allows you to quickly change equipment without the use of auxiliary tools. It is positioned as a product of the upper price category, designed to perform a wide range of assembly, dismantling and construction work. Able to work in three main modes: drilling, impact drilling and chiselling. Especially useful in conditions where it is impossible to connect to the electrical network. Thanks to XPT technology, it shows increased resistance to dust/moisture and can be used outdoors. The practical L-shaped layout allowed the manufacturer to reduce the length of the case to just 37.3...cm (without accessories). The brushless electric motor of the Makita DHR280Z rotary hammer, working in conjunction with a reliable gearbox and durable impact mechanism, provides high torque, impressive impact force (2.8 J) and impressive overload resistance. The use of two capacious batteries at once allows you to achieve excellent battery life. Able to quickly create holes in concrete, stone, metal, wood and polymer masses. It has electronic speed control and a safety clutch to prevent kickback. |

More batteries, more power
By the standards of network punchers, an impact energy of 2.8 J is the norm. But for battery models, this is a very decent indicator that deserves admiration. It was possible to achieve such characteristics by equipping the Makita DHR280Z with a modern electronically controlled brushless motor. The tool turned out to be not very light (3.1 kg — approximately like network analogues of the same power class), but completely autonomous. Now you can drill and chisel brick or concrete on objects that are not connected to the power grid, without carrying bulky generators with you.
Maximum care: both for you and for the instrument
The manufacturer has taken good care of the reliability of the tool. The rotary hammer differs in high resistance to dust and moisture. But at the same time, they did not forget about the users. In order to make the work comfortable and safe, the device is equipped with an anti-vibration system and a disengaging clutch. The beat frequency can be changed by turning the speed control. The electronics automatically maintains the set chuck rotation speed. Eco mode with "soft impact" saves battery power by reducing the impact force at times when the drill or drill does not experience resistance. There is an LED light for working in the dark.
Fully compatible with other Makita tools
Makita DHR280Z is sold as a "carcass". That is, the charger and battery are not included. Please note that this rotary hammer is a 36-volt device. It runs on two 18-volt batteries (other Makita tools work on the same batteries of the LXT series: screwdrivers, grinders, renovators, etc.). The tool will not work from one battery.
