It's a nasty cable. The body of the podovzhuvach is naughty China. |
Cool power strip, initially bought it for work, but then it ended up at my home. Now I have the TV, console, and audio system connected to it. Sometimes I charge devices with it. Overall, a decent power strip. I've connected a vacuum cleaner to it, and it held up well. I liked the on/off switch feature. Really convenient thing. The power strip has 5 sockets, Eurostandard with grounding. Next to the cable, there is a power switch button. When it's on, the LED light inside the switch glows, although after a few years, its brightness has significantly decreased and now barely glows. The cable is quite thick and massive, clearly designed for high voltage. There are holes on the back of the case to hang the power strip on the wall using screws. I bought it in August 2020, and now I feel the sockets are a bit loose. The charging adapter has a lot of play and loses contact. In my opinion, this is bad, as my previous one worked for ten years without this issue. But here, after 4 years, and I didn't even unplug it that often, usually just once plugged in and left it. The furthest socket is where I constantly placed the charger, but the one next to it and the third one are also loose, I'm not sure about the fourth and fifth, maybe the same issue. I'll need to take it apart and tighten the plates. Inexpensive Five sockets Off button Thick power cable The contacts in the sockets became loose very quickly, even if they were not used often. The bulb in the off button burned out. |

However, the cable, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised me: it's quite thick, soft, doesn't break, and doesn’t twist, which is nice for a price like this. There are no special issues with the load either — it handles small appliances, chargers, lamps, or a laptop without any problems. At most, an electric kettle, which it did manage for me.
Overall, the power strip is okay if you need a cheap option "for auxiliary tasks." But the name Premium is definitely unnecessary here — the housing feels very simple. For this price, it's forgivable, but I wouldn't rely on it for anything serious.
On the plus side, there are spots for hooks/screws on the housing. I hung it under the table like that, and now it powers a lamp and speakers.
