I took it to charge 18650 batteries, and the charger works perfectly. It has two independent slots, allowing you to charge one or two batteries simultaneously, with 2A current for one slot or 1A for each when using both. The type of battery is automatically detected, supporting Li-ion, LiFePO4, NiMH, and NiCd, which means it's suitable for most batteries you have at home. The LCD display shows the charge percentage, voltage, time, and capacity - everything you need is there. There's protection against overcharging, short circuits, and even bad batteries - if you insert a dead one, it just won't charge it. It doesn't heat up, which is important. Instructions are basically unnecessary since everything is intuitively clear. For its price, it's a very decent option for home use. Two slots, protection, does not heat up, switching current, price None |
Charging current up to 2000 mA
The charger’s design includes four independent slots with a spring-loaded negative contact, allowing you to insert cells of varying lengths. For Li-Ion and LiFePO4 batteries, the maximum charging current reaches 2000 mA—this mode is available only in the 4th slot when charging a single cell. If two batteries are connected, the current is split to 1000 mA for the 3rd and 4th slots. When charging three or four batteries simultaneously, the current is reduced to 500 mA per slot.
Automatic battery type detection
For Ni-Cd and Ni-MH cells, a charging current of up to 1000 mA is provided when two are connected, or up to 500 mA when charging three or four batteries at the same time. The device automatically detects the battery type; however, LiFePO4 cells may be recognized as regular Li-Ion—in this case, it is recommended to manually select the desired mode. The backlit information display shows charging parameters and current settings.
Power options
The charger is equipped with a built-in power supply designed to operate from the 230 V household mains. It can also be connected to a 12 V DC source or a car cigarette lighter. The only drawback of the model is the lack of a manual setting for charging current. Nevertheless, the LiitoKala Lii-PD4 effectively handles gentle charging of different types of batteries.
