and so I bought LG 55SK8500PLA - I was waiting for it to appear since 2018 - I did repairs in the room and this device is just right for a 17m2 room)) and so why this one - firstly, the backlight is Full Array Local Dimming and DOLBY VISION support !! the backlight can be adjusted and this is a really necessary function, black looks like black, there are minimal halos - this is the best backlight for LCD TVs after OLEDs, I ordered it through the Internet - they immediately agreed that they would bring it from Poland - this suited me - I waited a week and they brought it straight to my home, opened it, checked the appearance of the number and issued a 2-year warranty from the store !! the price was 960 euros, after installation (hung it on the wall) I updated the software - everything is in Russian - nothing was reflashed - the region is Ukraine !! well, what can I say, the picture is just awesome HDR very beautiful colors, just living colors !! connected a Toshiba Canvio Basics HDTB305EK3AA 2TB external drive to the TV via USB - 4K movies play without problems - DOLBY VISION movies also play great!!! I installed it on a smart ball PC and watch movies over the network!! The novelty of 2018 is similar in appearance to its predecessor — LG 49SJ850V. The TV received an ergonomic curved stand, a thin silver frame, a smooth plastic back with all the necessary interfaces, including 4 HDMI and 3 USB.
Impressive picture
The 49-inch 4K screen of the LG 49SK8500 features an IPS panel that supports Nano Cell Display technology and Full Array Dimming. This provides a bright image with natural colour reproduction regardless of viewing angles. HDR support, Upscaling resolution scaling and Nano Cell Colour Pro colour processing technology can further improve the picture.
In a bright room, the panel overcomes glare well, and the image looks very convincing. But in the dark, there is not enough contrast, which is why instead of black, a rather dark grey colour is visible.
More dynamics
The LG 49SK8500 outperforms its 2017 counterparts in terms of dynamic scene quality. A smooth video sequence without artifacts is provided by hardware due to the frame rate of 100 Hz. If necessary, this value is doubled to 200 fps due to True Motion.
Given the high-quality processing of fast-moving objects and low input lag, the panel will perfectly prove itself as a monitor for a gaming computer or paired with a game console.
webOS 4.0
The TV is running webOS version 4.0. LG 49SK8500, in addition to 2 standard speakers, received a pair of low-frequency subwoofers. The total power of the audio system is 40 watts.
