A family of affordable and modern laptops from the V series, which Lenovo launched in 2020. The manufacturer is positioned as affordable and universal solutions for small businesses, work on the road, study and multimedia entertainment. In fact, they are an alternative to casual IdeaPad 1 laptops with a focus on business features like a cryptographic module, an anti-theft lock and a physical switch for a webcam.
They are extremely affordable: an entry-level modification with a Ryzen 3 chip, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB M.2 SSD will cost a potential owner $450, while an all-inclusive model with Ryzen 7 and 16 GB of RAM will have to pay just under $700. Regardless of the price, the laptop also has a 256/512 GB NVMe SSD and an integrated Radeon Vega series graphics card. All models from the Lenovo V15 G3 ABA line have simple displays with a TN + film matrix, 1080p resolution, base brightness (250 cd / m2), standard color reproduction (45% NTSC) and limited viewing angles, but with anti-glare coating.
To reduce eye strain, the display features a built-in blue light filter and backlight flicker reduction (certified by TÜV Rheinland). To connect external devices, a wide range of ports are provided, including HDMI and USB C with support for Alternate Mode. The processing of network communications is provided by a network card with a dedicated LAN port and a wireless receiver (Wi-Fi 5 + Bluetooth 5.0). With decent autonomy (up to 8 hours on a single charge) and support for fast charging (80% in 60 minutes), representatives of the Lenovo V15 series will be useful while working outside the home, traveling and business trips.
