Overall, I like this set, it's good but not amazing. The train itself looks great and is a significant improvement over the previous passenger train. But the details inside the train (in all three sections) are rather limited and unimpressive. The railroad system has two different options for operation: you can control the train using the remote control that is included in the kit. Or download the Powered Up app to control your train from your mobile device. In the second version, we got a series of sounds that increase the level of fun and playability with this set. But I am somewhat disappointed with how quickly the connection is lost if you stop using the train for a few minutes. The remote control system is new and very different from the previous one. It is more bulky and less user friendly. Connecting to the train will take a few minutes and 10 AAA batteries to ride this train (better start stocking up on batteries now). Well, the cost of a set of this size, in my opinion, is very high. Although, if this is your first LEGO train, then I have no doubt that you will be pleased and excited. The train itself looks great and is a significant improvement over the previous one.
