What is not in the huge park of Lego products. The Danish company has launched the production of sets for the smallest (Lego Duplo), separate series for boys and girls, but the most technologically savvy are the newly-made lines of designers with remote control support. Lego Boost 17101 is one of them for kids aged 7-12.
Construction
From a set of parts in the amount of 847 pcs. You can collect as many as 5 characters: Vernie the robot on caterpillars, Frankie the cat, an all-terrain vehicle, a guitar and an automated assembly line. Each of these toys performs a number of its functions. For example, the Verny robot rides on a caterpillar, expresses emotions with eyebrows, knows how to determine the distance to an object and its colour. The cat purrs, enjoys strokes and plays the harmonica. The all-terrain vehicle is programmed for shooting at targets, raising and lowering the bucket, knocking with a hammer. The guitar will help to perform cool hits. Finally, automated assembly of mini-robots has been set up on the conveyor.
Programming
Each of the five heroes gathers for several hours. Hints on the assembly process are interactively given in the Lego Boost mobile app. At first, it clearly shows what needs to be moved and where, where to click. Gradually, the understanding of the skills of the hero comes to the child and he can programme the assembled toys to perform a whole galaxy of actions. Robots play sounds through the speakers of a paired smartphone or tablet.
A strong character
You won't get bored with this set. Lego Boost 17101 develops fine motor skills in children, logical thinking skills, teaches the basics of programming. And most importantly, it allows you to diversify the gameplay at times, relying on the creative imagination of the child. The payment for the comprehensively developed qualities of the designer is a non-acidic price tag for the product. But, frankly, the set is worth every penny spent.
