A late but noteworthy debut

Kumho presented its new Ecsta HS52 back in 2018, but it went on general sale only by the summer of 2022. This expectation turned out to be quite justified, given the characteristics and quality offered by the tire.

The Kumho Ecsta HS52 stands out among its competitors, taking first place in the dry braking tests from the renowned AutoBild publication and performing well in other indicators. At the same time, the tire is not inferior in driving performance to products from leading brands such as Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, and Hankook.

For profile widths from 185 mm and above, the tire has four longitudinal channels for water drainage and additional oblique sipes that enhance moisture removal and provide excellent traction on both dry and wet asphalt. Response to steering maneuvers is precise and immediate.

The developed multi-pitch tread block configuration reduces rolling noise while providing a consistent level of ride comfort. The addition of functional polymers to the rubber compound increased the service life of the tire. In addition, the design of the tire's sidewalls stands out from its peers, giving the vehicle an attractive appearance even when parked.
