There are very few major manufacturers left in the e-book market. One of these is Kobo, which released an advanced Libra 2 reader towards the end of 2021.
Monochrome display
A 7-inch E Ink Carta monochrome screen with a resolution of 1680x1264 pixels, which gives a final pixel density of 300 ppi, was at the disposal of the book reader. Initially, the book supports 15 file formats (EPUB, EPUB3, FlePub, PDF, MOBI, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, TXT, HTML, RTF, CBZ and CBR), but the list does not include the popular FB2. You can roll up its support with your own hands, for which you will need to perform a couple of simple manipulations.
Adjustable backlight
For comfortable reading in low light conditions, the Kobo Libra 2 features a ComfortLight PRO screen backlight with color temperature control. Through a Bluetooth wireless connection, the reader is able to broadcast audiobooks to headphones. The additional assets of the model include a Wi-Fi module and a built-in browser for surfing the Internet.
Waterproof construction
A distinctive feature of the device in appearance is an enlarged right frame, which houses two control buttons for turning pages. They complement the touch controls. It is also necessary to highlight the water protection of the model case in accordance with the requirements of the IPX8 standard. The reader has a completely waterproof design and can be under water at a depth of up to 2 m for 2 hours. The best thing for reading in the bathroom or on the sea beach!
