The Russian manufacturer of modern home appliances did not disregard the segment of household appliances that help in the preparation of tasty and healthy food. The contact grill KITFORT KT-1639, which allows you to cook steaks, meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, croutons and much more, stands out among the "classmates" with its own technical solutions that can be evaluated in different ways: something can be recorded as an asset, and what -something in the passive. The device consumes 2000 W and warms up to operating temperature in a short time, and the power button is located on the back, which is reasonable from a safety point of view, especially when there are children in the house.
Panels with built-in heater
Removable plates with non-stick coating have a diagonal relief directed towards the fat tray located in the front of the case. Due to the fact that the heating element is built into the work plates, which, when installed in the grill, are connected to the power contact, the panels provide rapid direct heating of portions of food. However, due to this design of the plates, the manufacturer does not recommend washing them in a dishwasher. This is not very encouraging, as it complicates the care of the panels, which cannot always be cleaned with a paper towel, as advised in the instructions for the device. In addition, when the heater fails, the plate becomes an absolutely useless attribute and needs to be replaced with a new one.
Ultra-short power cord
The model is equipped with electronic control with touch buttons and a contrast display. The built-in thermostat allows you to set the heating temperature up to 220 °C in steps of 10 °C, and the switch-off timer with a maximum switch-off time setting of 9 min. 50 sec. beeps to indicate that the dish is ready. As for the disadvantages of the device, noted in customer reviews, it should be mentioned that the lid of the device gets very hot during operation, it hovers strongly from the tray area, and the responsiveness of the adjustment sensors is not always perfect. It is also worth mentioning the simple hinge design of the panels, which does not allow adjusting to the thickness of the cut products. And there is also a very short power cord (only 0.66 m), which drastically limits the installation location of the device.
