KitchenAid is positioning its 5KCM0802 drip coffee maker as appliances that automate the popular pour-over coffee brewing method.

Unlike conventional filtration solutions, the model delivers water at the right temperature (from 92 to 96 degrees) and with a stable pressure (rather than a few drops) to the crushed grains. They are wetted, after which the drink is saturated and infused, as required by the pour over technology.

According to the manufacturer and user reviews, the finished coffee turns out to be richer, more tasty and aromatic, more reminiscent of espresso, rather than ordinary Americano. However the cooking process itself takes longer.

Stylish design and easy process control

The KitchenAid 5KCM0802 coffee maker is available in four colour options: black, red, beige and silver. Each option goes well with other kitchen appliances of the brand, for example, electric kettles.

The model is designed for 1.18 liters of coffee, allows you to adjust the volume of the resulting drink (from 2 to 8 servings) and the degree of roasting of ground beans, which affects the taste of the drink.

The device is equipped with a display that shows the current state of the cooking process (heating, filling water, insisting, heating) and simplifies the delay of switching on for up to 24 hours.

Under the glass coffee pot there is a heating plate that provides preheating and maintains the coffee temperature at 59 degrees for 30 minutes after preparation. The KitchenAid 5KCM0802 then switches off automatically.

The model comes with 4 disposable paper filters 1x4 in size. Subsequently, you can purchase both disposable and reusable counterparts.
