For consumers of single-phase alternating current, an inexpensive Kentavr KBG-258E gasoline generator is well suited as a backup or emergency power source. And that's why.

Base link

The model is one of the most affordable offers from the range of gasoline generators of relatively low power. The power plant produces 2.5 kW of rated power with peaks up to 2.8 kW. The distribution of the load on consumers is “managed” by two AC sockets for 230 V and 16 A, as well as terminals with a voltage of 12 V. The AVR auto-regulator protects against subsidence and voltage surges at the output.

Petrol power unit

"Under the hood" of the generator sheltered a single-cylinder petrol engine with a power of 7 hp, driven by an electric starter. The electric start system greatly simplifies the cold start procedure of the power unit. For 1 kW of generated electricity for 1 hour, there are about 395 mL of fuel consumed. In total, the tank of the model holds 15 liters of gasoline. To stabilize the output voltage of the Kentavr KBG-258E generator, a synchronous alternator with a copper winding is used.

stable position

The engine and associated attachments of the generator are mounted on a solid metal frame by means of damper supports. As a result, during operation, the power plant has a stable position, and the noise level from it at maximum power does not exceed 75 dB. In terms of additional armament, the model got hold of only a pointer voltmeter, so you will have to calculate the number of hours worked by it in your mind, on a smartphone or with a pen on a piece of paper.
