A practical solution for every firefighter

Ippon Back Verso New 400 is an inexpensive UPS for home or office, designed to “insure” one workplace. In normal mode (when operating from the mains), it serves as a conventional surge protector that protects computer equipment and data transmission lines from electromagnetic interference. And in the event of a power outage, it automatically switches to work from the built-in battery. A 4.5 Ah battery is enough to provide 5 to 6 minutes of operation of a typical office PC with a 17-inch monitor. This UPS has 6 outlets. Four of them are “backup”, they connect a computer with a monitor, as well as something low-power, like a router or charging from a phone. These sockets have a "cold start" — the ability to turn on a PC or charge a gadget if the electricity has already disappeared. Two more sockets are ordinary, they are not powered by the battery. You should stick appliances and devices into these sockets, which you can do without when there is no light (this includes a printer, scanner, desk lamp, or something similar). But it makes no sense to use this UPS for backup power for an alarm or surveillance camera. The fact is that it has a battery life limit, regardless of the load. 30 minutes after a power outage, the UPS automatically turns off to avoid deep battery discharge, even if only a low-power LED light is connected to it.

Will it be too little?

Small output power (only 200 W) slightly limits the scope of this UPS. He can easily pull an "office" PC, but a powerful workstation or a gaming computer is "too tough" for him. If you do not fit into 200 W, then in the same series there is a UPS with more output power: 300 W or 480 W. However unlike the Ippon Back Verso New 400, they can no longer be called inexpensive uninterruptible power supplies.
