Powerful Drive
The machine is equipped with a Loncin 4-stroke engine adapted for low temperatures, with a power of 5.5 hp and a capacity of 1700 cubic meters/hour. It is recommended to refuel the unit with grade 92 gasoline. The tank capacity is 3.6 liters, which is sufficient for 1.5 - 2 hours of operation.
Automatic Oil Level Control
To ensure the engine's longevity, the viscosity of the oil should be selected based on the temperature conditions in which the snow blower is to be used, with the first oil change after the first 5 hours of operation. If there is insufficient oil in the engine, it will not start, so it is crucial to maintain the oil level at its maximum, which is facilitated by a float-type control sensor.
High Maneuverability
The SN-5500 starts only with a manual starter. It may be simple, but it's practical. The multi-speed gearbox (5 forward, 2 reverse) provides high maneuverability and allows for snow removal even on slopes. Add to this the wide wheels with deep treads, and you get a rather productive assistant capable of almost independently breaking and clearing dense snow drifts.
Overload Protection
To prevent auger damage when hard objects are encountered, it's attached to the shaft with special pins designed to shear in case the mechanism gets jammed. If this happens, it is important to replace the sheared pins with identical ones, as a stronger pin could cause the unit to break.
Chute and Auger Height Adjustments
The chute position for snow discharge can be adjusted within an angle of 180º and height-wise, which means the throw distance of the mass varies between 10 - 15 meters.
The auger height can also be adjusted, but the process is not quick. Special sliders on bolts are provided at the bottom of the bucket's sides for this purpose.
