An affordable multi-purpose laser rangefinder (laser tape measure) with a red LED emitter (635 nm), a monochrome LCD screen without backlighting, an ergonomic case with rubber inserts and battery power (2 AAA batteries, LR06). It can instantly measure distances from 0.03 to 20 m with moderate accuracy, i.e. with an error of up to 2 mm. Based on the results of two measurements, it can quickly calculate the area, and based on three, it can calculate the volume. Indirect calculations using the Pythagorean theorem are also supported (determining the side of a right triangle by a leg and hypotenuse).
