How to choose a backup power generatorKey points to consider when choosing your own stand-alone mini-power plant

How to connect a generator to a house: via an outlet, a switch, and an ATS unitThree ways to connect a backup power station to a household electrical grid
This generator was purchased for the construction site and later moved to my parents' place. It was used both in winter and summer. Notably, it doesn't overheat in summer and starts quickly in winter. It's very convenient to have a push-button start. It does consume a fair amount of fuel, but has never lacked power. We've connected a concrete mixer, two grinders, a light source, drills, and a hammer drill. It has never stalled or choked. We change the oil regularly, I use 5-30, and so far everything is perfect, no smoke, no issues. In almost a year of use, it never had any trouble starting, always starts on the first try. It is well-made, with good materials, and excellently painted - no rust or rot, not even a hint. It's been outdoors all year round, although under a canopy. A full tank lasts for the entire workday plus into the night, about 13-17 hours, depending on the season, load, and fuel quality. The more it works, the less fuel it consumes. It's now at my parents' place being used as a backup. It's heavy. Very difficult for one person to move, let alone carry. We use a cart to transport it if needed. Reliable machinery that has never let us down. Reliable, no pretensions to work. Well made, from the paint on. ending with caps and caps. Withstands peak loads without problems, and does not overheat at the same time. Reliable tool. Consumption is large, and the whole tank can be eaten in a day. But powerful. |
