HyperX Predator DDR4 2x8GB HX436C17PB4K2/16
![]() | Outdated Product A dual-channel set of high-speed DDR4-3600 memory modules, consisting of two single-sided 8-chip modules with a capacity of 8 GB each. The manufacturer is positioned as a product for demanding gamers, focused on installation in top gaming systems. With high clock speeds, a high-quality eight-layer PCB, and an aluminium heatsink, these modules will be of interest to enthusiasts who can get additional performance boost by overclocking the main system components. The HyperX Predator DDR4 2x8Gb DDR4 2x8Gb RAM kit comes with a nominal clock speed of 3600 MHz, delivering an impressive throughput of up to 28.8 Gbps per module. The manufacturer guarantees performance at CL17-19-19 timings and a voltage of 1.35V, which reduces the latency of the memory subsystem and improves overall and gaming perf...ormance. It should be noted separately that the DDR4-3600 mode is activated automatically only if the motherboard supports Intel XMP 2.0 technology. Otherwise, the board will activate the default settings (DDR4-2400 with CL17-17-17 timings at 1.2 V), and high passport settings will need to be configured in the UEFI BIOS in manual mode. The kit demonstrates high compatibility and can work in any configuration based on 6th generation Intel Core processors and later, as well as AMD Ryzen processors. My memory (2x8) 3200 (16-18-18-36) was quite responsive to overclocking, even though the chips are Hynix. My timings dropped to 17-22-22 at 4100, but I can't find that screenshot (I currently just have 4 sticks installed). Here's a screenshot of the results: https://prnt.sc/vwnfnr Just don't forget that I also increased the voltage on VCCIO, VCCSA, but not more than 1.2-1.23v (could be individual), don't set it more than 1.25v. Good overclocking potential. Used for over a year at 1.44V and nothing happened to them (currently have 4 pieces, B-die(2x16GB) and these at 3800MHz at 1.42V). There are no disadvantages (for me). For someone, the disadvantage might be their height. |
Good memory. Overclocked to 3600. Timings= 18-20-20-20-40. Voltage= 1.35 V. Overclocked to 4000. Worked okay, but on Ryzen 7 3700x left it at 3600. Cold, excellent, fast not found |
Bought it for the B450 chipset. At first I thought about getting something from G.Skill, but it didn’t work out. Also, the motherboards I was interested in listed more modest frequencies than HyperX, or some RAM lines were not listed in the QVLs at all. I got SK hynix C-die. Of course, I didn’t win the Samsung lottery, but I didn’t have time to get upset either — it immediately ran on the 3200/16-18-18 XMP profile, later I overclocked it to 3333/15-16-16 and 3466/16-18-18. I’m new to this, and I’m sure there’s still room for overclocking, especially since the motherboard turned out to be very user-friendly in this regard (ASRock Fatal1ty B450 ITX/AC). The CPU is a second-generation R5 2400G; with the first generation, overclocking should be worse. Good compatibility with ASRock on the AM4 socket. Restrained design (though the Fury lineup still looks better and has a lower height; unfortunately, the timings there are significantly higher). 8GB sticks are only single-rank, standard random chips, STICKERS :) |
