Saws: types, purpose and selection tipsA brief overview of different types of saws and sawing machines with tips on choosing the right tools
Model overview based on user reviews
The Husqvarna 555 15 is a powerful chainsaw designed for demanding tasks, featuring a 59.8 cm³ engine with 4.21 hp. Users appreciate its convenient features like non-losing nuts on the clutch cover and easy-to-open fuel cap plugs. However, some have experienced issues with the auto-tuning system, and the saw can be fuel-consuming despite claims of efficiency. The anti-vibration system is noted to be ineffective, causing fatigue during extended use. Additionally, the throttle cable may freeze at low temperatures, and the filter tends to clog. While it performs well in forest settings, reliability concerns have been raised, with some users experiencing mechanical failures within a few months. Despite its attractive design and ability to handle various blade sizes, some users suggest considering alternatives like the Stihl MS 261 for better overall performance.

money down the drain

it will work for cutting boards, but not in the forest. I will not buy it again.
powerful
died after four months. 560 after eight months. Something needs to be done about the auto-tuning and the brains of this piece of scrap metal.

good model, I liked it
13 March 2017
Bought a 555 for forest needs and house construction. Beautiful design, powerful, can change blades from small to large, overall liked it a little.
Non-losing nuts on the clutch cover, easy-to-open fuel cap plugs, needle bearing is greased.
The filter gets clogged, I didn't think it would be a problem on a Husqvarna. At minus 17.26 degrees, it takes a long time to start, even poorly. Quite fuel-consuming, although it says it saves 20% and supposedly has 75 emissions, which is hard to believe. It rattles so much that it makes your ears ring, and the anti-vibration system doesn't work well, making your hands get tired. It would have been better to get a Stihl MS 261.
