The entry-level gaming laptop line from HP, which in terms of cost and equipment level stands at the crossroads between affordable gaming models and simple laptops for office work. Included in the HP Victus 2024 lineup, designed for gamers seeking a balanced hardware platform without excessive costs. They are more suitable for not too demanding single-player games and online projects like COD and Marvel Rivals.
The series is based on a reliable AMD platform, featuring a 6-core Ryzen 5 7535HS processor (Rembrandt R, Zen 3+), complemented by a GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card. Although the GPU belongs to the previous generation of NVIDIA architecture, it supports basic technologies such as ray tracing and DLSS upscaling, allowing current games to run at medium graphics settings with a comfortable frame rate.
However, it cannot generate frames like more recent NVIDIA solutions. The DDR5 standard RAM of 16 GB provides good bandwidth in modern games, and thanks to a second free slot, the laptop owner can independently increase the RAM volume to 32 GB. Considering the positioning of the HP Victus 15-fb1000 laptops, the manufacturer has equipped all available modifications with classic IPS screens with a resolution of 1080p, overclocked to a 144 Hz refresh rate, basic color reproduction at the level of 45% NTSC, and optional support for AMD FreeSync. The secondary equipment in the lineup includes branded acoustics from Bang & Olufsen, a keyboard with single-color backlighting, fast charging, and a network interface with a gigabit LAN port and a Wi-Fi 6E wireless communication module.
