When my wife found out how much this brush cutter cost me, she almost had a fit. But I believe that if you are buying a real tool for household work, it makes sense to spend more. Yes, I could have bought a Chinese one for four or five times cheaper, but that's a completely different class of equipment. I tried a typical Chinese brush cutter at my neighbor's dacha and comparing it to this Honda is not that easy. They are alike only in the concept of cutting grass and the engine operation. Moreover, there was a wildly vibrating two-stroke engine, whereas here there's a good branded four-stroke engine. The quality and materials of which the main and auxiliary parts are made, the convenience and balance when mounted on the shoulder, the noise level – Honda stands head and shoulders above. And considering that besides our yard we have a not-so-small garden (22 trees), we have to mow grass for a long time, and doing it with a tool made on a "good enough" principle would be unpleasant. Works with a thick and long 2.5 mm line, so it can capture a strip 40 centimeters wide. For comparison, I’ll say that branded self-propelled lawn mowers start at 50 centimeters, which is very close. In addition to the cord, you can put a knife with a diameter of 25 cm, it is good if you need to cut stiff, wiry weeds, bushes and other more powerful growth. Praise deserves a balanced 4-stroke proprietary Honda engine. It is small, light, but powerful. And his power watts are real, not Chinese exaggerated ones. Another thing to note is the comfortable suspension on the shoulder. Maybe it is quieter than cheap Chinese models, but still the engine is so noisy that it lays your ears. So to work without headphones, I would not advise. |
