The Hikvision outdoor network camera is a directional model that is characterized by a solid construction, as the body is made of metal. It has good protection against water and dust (class IP67) and is able to operate in a wide temperature range — from -30 °C to +60 °C. Optics is characterized by a fixed focal length of 4 mm, which provides good horizontal viewing angles (98 degrees).

The Hikvision DS-2CD2043G0-I 2.8 mm surveillance camera is equipped with a 4 MP CMOS sensor, which makes it possible to record clear video with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. WDR and BLC technologies are available for image optimization and backlight compensation. When there is a lack of lighting, the LED backlight automatically turns on, which “beats” at a distance of up to 30 metres.

The video archive can be stored not only on local storage, but also in the cloud (NAS server) or on an SD card installed in the card reader (drives up to 128 GB are supported). And to reduce the volume of recording, both motion detection and H.265+ compression technology are proposed. It is worth noting that analogues with a different focal length are also on the market, including 8, 6 and 4 mm.
