In fact, this is a blanket that has the features of a cocoon, because there is a narrowing from the shoulders to the legs: from 95 to 65 cm, respectively. But even a large user should not feel tightness with such dimensions.

At the same time, High Peak Boom, with a length of 220 cm, is not as heavy (2.25 kg) and overall (dimensions in a compression bag are 42x26.5x26.5 cm) as similar rectangular sleeping blankets.

Choice for three seasons

It is recommended to take the model with you on hikes in the summer and in the off-season. The filler proposed here consists of two synthetic materials — Dura Loft + Hollowfibe. They, together with a thermal roller and drawstrings on the hood, will keep you warm in cold weather down to 1-6 °C. In extreme cases, the sleeping bag will "save" even in frosts down to -14 °C.

Different use cases

The role of the outer shell in High Peak Boom is given to polyester with Rip Stop weaving, and inside there is a combination of synthetics (polyester) and natural cotton (respectively 65% and 35%). There is also a pillow compartment, inside pocket and drying loops.

The anti-bite all-round zipper offered here provides not only convenient operation and high-quality ventilation. If necessary, she will turn the top of the sleeping bag into a blanket, and the bottom into a kind of karemat. And in the inner lining in the back area there is an additional sewn-in "breathable" layer, which is recommended to hide on a hot night.

The disadvantages of sleeping bags include high cost. But High Peak Boom is definitely worthy of your attention due to its interesting shape. It is suitable if you want to combine the advantages of a blanket and a cocoon in one product, or if you are choosing your first sleeping bag and do not know which form factor is optimal.
