Competition is good

The market for digital stabilizers is rapidly developing: before everything rested on DJI products, then FeiyuTech and Zhiyun imposed worthy competition on it, and in recent years several young and interesting brands have appeared. Among them is Gudsen with the Moza line.

Quality stabilization

The MOZA AirCross gives the impression of a solidly built, minimalistic stabilizer that is simple and reliable to use. It is aimed at cameras weighing from 300 to 1800 grams and performs well in both cases. From large cameras like the Sony A7 III to compact cameras like the Sony A6300 Moza AirCross, the footage is smooth and crisp with no nasty surprises in the process.

Ease of controls

Management turned out to be quite simple. There are only two buttons: the power switch and a five-way joystick to rotate the camera and change modes (Time lapse, auto-panorama, position lock, axis lock, invert). However only the LED informs about the operating mode, therefore, you should first study the instructions for the device.

Convenient design

But the company's engineers should be praised for the design. Moza designers used several solutions here that make it easier and faster to balance the cameras. First of all, fast coupling and the fact that all three elements on the drives have a large and very clear stroke. You can mark the correct balance position for a given set and quickly reproduce it without having to tediously find the perfect position every time you use the gimbal.

humble set

The reverse side of minimalism is not the richest equipment. In a hard-hitting, nuclear suitcase-like case, we will find only the AirCross itself, a handle, a tripod, a battery, a charger with a USB cable, and a Manfrotto 501PL type adapter. The latter is good, but stabilizers from FeiyuTech have taught us that at a similar price (or even lower), there are almost always small bonuses in the kit, like a spare set of batteries or a set of adapters for different types of cameras.

Well, its arcs are a bit short, they practically do not allow the handle to move freely around the camera, which is why shooting from the ground is not always convenient.
