How to choose RAM?Tips for choosing the optimal RAM parameters that will ensure stable operation and PC performance
Model overview based on user reviews
The GOODRAM IRDM X DDR4 1x8Gb RAM is praised for its affordable price and solid performance, making it a suitable choice for mid-range builds. Users appreciate its stable performance and the ability to manually overclock it, although some note the absence of HMR profiles. The design is considered decent for budget memory, and while the radiators are described as flimsy, the overall value is highlighted. This RAM can achieve higher frequencies on compatible motherboards, with users successfully overclocking it to 3200 MHz without adjusting timings and voltages. Overall, it is a cost-effective option for those looking to enhance their system's performance.
Pros

Cons

Suitable for mid-range builds and more
9 May 2020
Decent memory, budget-friendly, but actually quite good. Reasonable price and normal performance. I got a 4x4 2666 set, the MSI board didn't want to raise frequencies higher than 2933, but on the Aorus M they even ran at 3200 without editing timings and voltages. I didn't push it higher, don't see the need, I left it at 3000Mhz, that's more than enough for me.
- Decent design for budget memory;
- stable performance, can be manually overclocked
There are no HMR profiles, but that didn't really matter much to me.
great model, love it

year of flight, works stably and efficiently, no lags or brakes, 2 bars of 3200
price and performance
although if they knocked a couple hundred off the price I would like it better
well, for a mid-range gaming build, you can take it.
28 September 2019
bought 16 GB x2 for 6300 rubles at 2800 MHz.
First, only 8 GB started at 2100, then 16 GB at 2800, finally overclocked to 3200.
the price is quite cheap !!!
the radiators are kind of flimsy, but the price is good.
use GOODRAM IRDM X DDR4 1x8GB few months

European brand

IRDM X is the older series of “gaming” RAM from the Polish brand Goodram (Wilk Elektronik), which includes both separate modules with a volume of 4, 8 and 16 GB, as well as sets of two bars with a frequency of 2666 to 3200 MHz. Planks with base frequencies of 2133 and 2400 MHz are included in the junior IRDM series without the “X” suffix, but with the same design.

For gamers and overclockers

"Gaming" is now called memory, which was previously called "overclocker" — with a high frequency potential (and as a result, high performance, including in games) and metal radiators that perform both a cooling and a decorative function. It's just that the epithet "gaming" is now more recognizable than "overclocker".

five colours

The IRDM X heatsinks are prudently made thick-walled (this is not aluminium foil, like the cheapest RAM sticks), but low-profile so as not to interfere with the installation of massive tower CPU coolers. Five colour options are available to choose from: black, red, blue, white and “speckled” (a combination of white, grey and red a la winter camouflage). It is the last option that looks the most original. There is no LED backlight, lo and behold, and this is just a godsend against the backdrop of the widespread dominance of RGB.

Higher frequencies, shorter delays

You can only scold IRDM X for the same standard timings for all frequencies. If delays of 16-18-18-18-36 for a frequency of 3200 MHz are an excellent indicator, then for 2666 MHz it is clearly too much. However, this minor flaw can be easily solved by lowering the timings manually. Otherwise, Goodram IRDM X is a solid, guaranteed high-frequency RAM with an elegant design, for which they ask for not much more money than for the simplest non-radiator memory.
