The Gaming G5 line from Gigabyte combines well-balanced mid-range gaming laptops with powerful hardware, a quality display and modern equipment. They are made for not the most demanding gamers who do not fall into a tantrum if the graphic settings have to be lowered to the average value, and the Fraps counter will sometimes go down to 40 frames per second. As a hardware basis for the model of this family, 12-thread Intel Core i5 processors from the Tiger Lake family (11th generation), which are optimal for modern games, are used. Paired with the CPU is a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 4 GB of video memory. This is the youngest member of the Ampere family, which, like the older ones, supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS supersampling technologies. In addition, all Gigabyte G5 GE laptops received 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB M.2 SSD. The manufacturer left the second RAM slot and the second M.2 slot free, allowing the user to independently upgrade the memory. In addition to gaming, G7 laptops can be useful in a variety of usage scenarios - from studying and watching TV shows to photo processing, video editing, coding, and more. The laptops turned out to be moderately thin and light: a thickness of 23 mm and a weight of 1.9 kg provide an optimal balance between convenience and cooling efficiency. The proprietary Windforce system, consisting of a pair of huge coolers and a pack of heat pipes, can freely move hot air inside the case and throw it out into one of the many air ducts. Additional equipment includes a comfortable keyboard with RGB backlighting, a network controller for Wi-Fi 6 networks, an integrated card reader, a full set of video outputs, as well as modern USB-C ports and a capacious battery.
