It can be used to output sound from a PC, all-in-one, laptop, nettop, as well as multimedia and game consoles.

It is also possible to use these speakers to output sound from TVs or media players. The Genius SW-2.1 300X computer speakers include two plastic satellites and a subwoofer in an MDF case, which also contains a 10 W audio frequency amplifier. It is provided only with an analog input, and comes with a 1.5-meter cable for connection to the 3-pin miniJack port.
