Model overview based on user reviews
The Gemix HP-100MV headphones are a budget-friendly option, praised for their affordability and durability, with one user noting they have lasted over three years despite frequent drops. The design is modern and lightweight, featuring a wide plastic headband for comfort and soft foam ear pads. However, the sound quality is limited, with weak bass and distorted high frequencies, making them more suitable for voice communication like Skype rather than music listening. The microphone, although quiet, transmits voice adequately when sensitivity is adjusted. Despite some structural creakiness and a tendency for the cable to tangle, the headset offers good value for its low price, appealing to those needing a basic, cost-effective solution.
Pros
Cons
Whenever you need to save money, you need to find a line that you cannot cross. Headset Gemix HP-100MV is almost on the edge, but on the acceptable side. I've seen a lot of headsets, but this is just a work of budget art. It's probably physically impossible to do it cheaper. I'm afraid to think what is its prime cost, if our selling retail price is slightly more than three dollars (!!!). The price these days is fantastic. It's hard not to be tempted, you see. What did I get for this money? In appearance, the headset looks modern and nice. The plastic headband in its upper part, touching the head, is made wide so as not to put pressure on this very head. Although how will it press if the whole device weighs a little more than a feather? There, on the headband, there is a simple mechanism for fixing the height of the headphones. The adjustment range is large enough for the headset to sit on any head. The headphones themselves have soft foam pads and are almost not felt on the ears. The microphone is located on the cable, there is also a volume control. So, in terms of comfort, everything seems to be fine. The headband, like the whole structure, is creaky. The sound is bad. The speakers are relatively well able to reproduce only the voice, that is, the middle frequencies of the range audible to humans. Bass is absent, high-frequency sounds are heard with distortion. The cable connection is two-way, so that thin wires get tangled and twisted right in front of the nose. The microphone is quiet, so in order to be heard, I turn the microphone sensitivity to the maximum in the driver settings. |
An excellent model for the money. The microphone transmits voice normally! Very tenacious! serving for 3 years! No matter how much you fall or drop, they still work! Doesn't fit snugly enough to the ears. |
