Of course, I wouldn't compare it with modern stylers, as technology evolves and putting them side by side makes no sense, but it accomplishes its main task 100%. i've had this straightener for about 10 years and it's still going strong, which is already a big plus. I like that it has a temperature control, so you can straighten your hair with minimal damage. I usually set the temperature to 150 degrees and the result is the same as at 200. I'm also pleased with the long cord, which allows me to easily reach from the outlet to the mirror. it's not exactly a drawback, but I doubt it has ionization technology, since my hair gets very static after straightening.
