Video reviews

In the park of long-range Fenix flashlights, the PD40 model shines at a huge distance. The beam of light from its "head" reaches a distance of 925 m - not a single illuminated object at a great distance will escape the "sight" of the flashlight.

Long range

The maximum range is provided at a peak brightness of 1500 lm, which can be “squeezed out” using a rechargeable 21700 battery. Together with an 18650 battery, the flashlight produces a maximum luminous flux of about 1100 lm. In this mode, the model can operate autonomously for a little more than an hour and a half. Also, the Fenix PD40 has three more gradations of brightness level - 500/150/30 lm. “At minimum”, it shines for up to 2.5 days without a break (61 hours in a row).

Night hunting

The model is equipped with a tactical button in the "tail" and a mode switch button on the "head" side. Holding the mode select button while the flashlight is on activates the strobe mode. Hunters will especially like the flashlight - it comes with red and green filters, which reduce the likelihood of scaring game and increase the chances of success during night hunting. The rubberized filters fit into the bezel groove very tightly and are firmly held on the "head" of the flashlight.

Color indication

To determine the charge level of the flashlight, a color indicator is provided - each time you turn it on, the charge level indicator in the center of the side button shows the battery status. The battery is charged via a USB C connector. Well, the only complaint about the model is that the included case does not completely cover the glass of the flashlight, which is why there is a risk of damaging it when carrying it.

Brightness modes:
  • 500 lm — 2 hours of work
  • 275 lm — 4 hours 20 minutes of work
  • 125 lm — 14 hours of work
  • 45 lm — 30 hours of work
  • 4 lm — 220 hours of operation
