EnerSol EPG-5500S
![]() | Outdated Product Gasoline generator with a 390 cc 13 hp engine. The engine is started manually (using a cable). It is possible to connect consumers of single-phase alternating current with a total power of up to 5 kW to the installation. The EnerSol EPG-5500S generator is equipped with an automatic regulator (AVR) to compensate for power surges caused by unstable or "floating" loads. Household appliances, power tools and other appliances requiring 230 V can be connected to the generator set through three outlets. They have circuit breakers (16A and 32A) that shut down consumers in the event of an overload to protect the generator. For recharging car batteries, 12 V DC output terminals are provided. I bought it on the recommendation of friends for a country house where everything is electric: refrigerator, air conditioner, heating (convector heaters), electric stove. This generator handles everything excellently if you don't turn everything on simultaneously and at full power. The average load on the generator in the evening is 2-2.5 kilowatts, and it copes with it without problems. Fuel consumption is about 1.2-1.5 l/h (although I haven't managed to calculate it exactly yet), but certainly not 310 g/kW*h, as stated in the manual. The generator is very heavy, but it has wheels for transportation, a copper winding, and an electric starter. All electrical appliances turn on without any problem, not requiring additional stabilizers. One downside is that it is very loud, the exhaust is quite harsh. copper winding, electric starter very loud, consumes more fuel than specified. |
Affordable self-powered solution
In modern conditions, stable power supply is not a luxury, but a necessity. The EnerSol EPG-5500S generator comes to the rescue when the main network fails, and does so efficiently.
Power for home and business
5 kW is a decent figure for a generator of this category. This amount of energy allows the operation of the main consumers in a home or business, such as lighting, a refrigerator, and some electrical appliances. However, the key word here is "basic". In order for the generator to serve for a long time and without failure, it is necessary to distribute the load and not turn on all devices at the same time.
Voltage stability is the key to safety
Thanks to the Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) unit, your devices and appliances will operate without failure, even if there are slight voltage fluctuations. This is an important feature that extends the life of connected devices.
Practicality in the details
A powerful engine, a large fuel tank, a convenient control panel with various sockets - all this makes the EnerSol EPG-5500S easy to use. Yes, it's heavy, but the set of wheels and handles makes it easy to move.
If you want more convenience, electric start versions offer that, albeit at a higher price. But the added convenience may justify the cost, especially if the generator is going to be used regularly.
Conclusion
EnerSol EPG-5500S is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable, budget-friendly off-grid power solution. But do not forget about the need for proper load distribution and regular maintenance to ensure that your generator lasts a long time and without failures.
