Uninterrupted worker for one workplace

The manufacturer positions the line-interactive uninterruptible power supply EnerGenie EG-UPS-031 as a device designed to serve one workplace at home or in the office. It’s hard to disagree with this, because the output power of this UPS (390 W) does not allow you to connect something more powerful than one computer with peripherals. This is also evidenced by a small set of sockets on the back of the case. There are two "computer" connectors (type C13 / C14) where you can connect a system unit and a monitor, as well as one ordinary outlet for something like a printer, router or other equipment used in the workplace. Since this UPS has an automatic voltage regulator (acts as a stabilizer), the computer equipment and peripherals connected to it are protected from problems associated with unstable current characteristics.

Simple and inexpensive

Almost the entire body, except for the "muzzle", is made of metal. Inside it is a 7 Ah battery. Judging by the reviews on the EnerGenie UPS, it provides approximately 8 - 20 minutes of battery life for a computer with a monitor (depending on the load). There is an LCD display on the front panel, with the help of which the UPS informs the user about the current operating parameters (voltage, load, operating mode, etc.).

It is impossible not to note a couple of small flaws that are seen in this UPS. Firstly, it does not have connectors for an Internet cable (if data line protection is required, then you should buy a slightly more powerful version of the same uninterruptible power supply called EnerGenie EG-UPS-032, which has the appropriate sockets). In addition, the UPS design uses a disposable fuse as protection against exceeding the permissible current value (instead, I would like to see a more convenient and practical circuit breaker). However, these shortcomings are by no means critical. And if you remember the low price of the device, then you can safely close your eyes to them.
