normal model, nothing special
12 January 2015
When moving to another apartment, it became necessary to purchase a radiator, since the room on the first floor did not have time to warm up properly. The store chose this model, and it’s not too expensive for the money, rather average, and looks normal, and besides, the consultant recommended it. Operating the heater is easy, everything is clear, without instructions. Not heavy, easy to transport on wheels. There is protection against rollovers, quite safe. It has never broken down for us yet. In general, it warms normally, but I expected much more. We had an old heater that heated the apartment faster and it was really hot, we had to turn it on, this one warms, but I would like it to be more powerful. I plan to move it to the kitchen, and buy something else for the room, maybe even a different type of heater altogether.
It consumes quite a lot of electricity, despite the fact that it was not turned on every day, the bill increased significantly. It clicks loudly when switching modes.

Beautiful, easy to transport, safe, but not very efficient.
28 December 2016
Throughout my life, I've bought several heaters, and most times, the old rule holds true: well-known brands don't make junk. That's why I opted for a branded Electrolux oil radiator for home. But even the best have their off days; this time, the rule only half applied. It happens. The key thing is to realize it in time, carefully repack it in the original packaging, and take it back to the store. Which is exactly what I did.
Nine-sectional, with a large heat transfer area. The more sections there are and the larger their total area, the faster the radiator transfers its heat to the air in the room. Yet, Electrolux managed to fit these nine sections into a size more characteristic of seven-sectional models. Just like any good heater, it features stepped power adjustment. The device can operate in three modes: 800, 1200, or 2000 watts. It comes with wheels and has a handle for transportation. For storage, the electric cable with a plug won’t dangle underfoot; there's a special place for it.
The main issue is that the thermostat activates much earlier than the entire oil radiator gets properly heated. When turned on, it operates at full allowed power, warms up, and at 70-75 degrees temperature at the bottom of the heater, the thermo-relay trips. Meanwhile, the upper part only manages to heat up to 60-65 degrees. Maybe it's just bad luck and this is an unsuccessful individual unit, but personally, that doesn't make it any easier for me.
Didn't expect such bad quality.

Comfortable handle, mount
Heats weakly. When it was very cold outside in winter, the room did not feel warm. After 1.5 years, the top dripped at the joints between the sections in three places

Add Review

Leaving aside the laudatory description from the manufacturer, the Electrolux EOH / M-3209 does not fundamentally differ from low-cost models in terms of functionality. It can be advised to those who are ready to pay a little extra for confidence in the quality of the manufacture of the device — the owners have no complaints about this. Many of them also like the neat appearance of the device and relatively small dimensions.

Temperature support function

At the same time, the owners in the reviews complain that turning the device on and off with a thermostat is accompanied by loud clicks. By maintaining the temperature at the same level, the heater works intermittently and each period of operation will be “marked” by sound signals. It is unlikely that they will interfere with watching TV, but this point is worth considering if you plan to heat the room at night.

Heater power

The Electrolux has 9 sections and is more powerful than the 7 section models. Its minimum power is 0.8 kW, the average is 1.2 kW, and the maximum is 2 kW. This series includes models with different capacities. For example, EOH / M-3157 and EOH / M-3221, operating at 0.6, 0.9, 1.5 kW and 1, 1.2, 2.2 kW, respectively. Electrolux devices do not have fan heaters, which increase the effect of heating the room, but also increase energy consumption. Another difference from low-cost models: power selection is performed not by pressing buttons, but by turning a more convenient round knob.

Drop protection

The instructions for oil heaters usually state that they can only be used vertically and should be turned off immediately if they fall on their side. Such incidents rarely happen, even if small children are playing nearby ... Just in case, Electrolux has provided “protection” against such troubles — a built-in sensor will turn off the device when it rolls over to the floor or deviates from its usual position.
