The ECOVACS brand has been developing home robotics since 1998. Its WinBot 850 product is the most popular window robot in Ukraine.
The model has a square shape, equipped with a comfortable handle with a button to start work. The package includes a remote control, a 2.8-metre network cable with a 1.5-metre extension cord (for cleaning large windows), and a special detergent.
Fully automatic cleaning
To start cleaning, a cleaning agent is applied to the microfibre fixed on the work surface. Then ECOVACS WinBot 850 needs to be leaned against the glass and turned on. The 75-watt vacuum motor, which makes up to 19K revolutions per minute, will help with reliable fixation of the device on a smooth surface and the removal of dirt.
The device itself chooses a suitable trajectory of movement. N-shaped is intended for high, and Z-shaped — for elongated surfaces. The desired trajectory can also be set from the remote control. It will also allow you to manually direct the robot to the most contaminated part of the glass.
The front of the brush head moistens the surface and absorbs dirt as it moves. Then one scraper cleans off stubborn dirt, and the other removes water stains. At the end of the process, the back of the microfibre wipes the surface dry. As a result, a thorough cleaning of a window measuring about 2 square metres takes less than 10 minutes, which is considered an excellent indicator for window robots.
The cleaning quality of the model is at its best, but the small caterpillars responsible for movement can leave streaks on the windows.
Safe work
In the event of a power problem, the WinBot 850 is equipped with a battery backup that provides up to 15 minutes of battery life. Additional protection for outdoor window cleaning is provided by a safety cable with a suction cup, which is fixed at a height and protects the robot from falling from a height.
ECOVACS WinBot 850 costs more than manual window cleaners, but the robot automates the process, allowing you to abandon routine, and in some cases unsafe work.
